LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY

REGUPOL Australia Pty Ltd trading as Zebra Athletics (“Zebra Athletics”) acknowledges that consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) may apply to the supply of its products and, if they do, the warranties contained in this document apply in addition to those consumer guarantees.

Mats manufactured in Germany and supplied by Zebra Athletics (“Zebra Mats”) are covered by an extended limited warranty of five (5) years from the date the Zebra Mats are received by the purchaser (“Warranty Period”). Zebra Athletic warrants that these Zebra Mats will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions, for their intended purpose, and in accordance with all installation, use, and maintenance instructions supplied by Zebra Athletic. If the applicable manufacturer’s warranty for any component is shorter than five (5) years, the shorter period will apply.

All other products supplied by Zebra Athletics (“Additional Products”) are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty from the date these Additional Products are received by the purchaser. This applies to all non‑mat products, including but not limited to:

  • Apparel
  • Bags
  • Racks
  • Cages
  • Boxing Rings
  • Steelworks / Steel Structures
  • Any other ancillary or accessory equipment supplied by Zebra Athletics

Zebra Athletics warrants that these Additional Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and in accordance with the supplied instructions.

On discovery of any defect in the Zebra Mats or the Additional Products (“Goods”), the purchaser must notify Zebra Athletics in writing. All warranty claims must be received:

  • within seven (7) days of discovery; or
  • within sixty (60) months of delivery for Zebra Mats or within twelve (12) months of delivery for Additional Products, whichever occurs first, unless a longer warranty period is expressly stated for the Goods.

Zebra Athletics reserves the right to examine any warranty claim, including by dispatching an authorised representative to the installation location. Inspections may include photographic documentation and the removal of samples for technical evaluation. If a defect is claimed prior to installation and Zebra Athletics’ investigation confirms that the Goods are defective, the defective Goods will be replaced at no cost to the purchaser.

If a written claim is submitted within five (5) years of installation and Zebra Athletics determines that the material was installed and maintained in accordance with Zebra Athletics specifications and has failed within the terms of the warranty, REGUPOL may, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective Goods or issue a credit note not exceeding the original purchase price. If a direct replacement or identical colour is no longer available, Zebra Athletics may supply an equivalent or alternative product.

Excluded from Warranty

This warranty does not cover dissatisfaction, damage, or defects arising from:

  • Inadequate cleaning or maintenance. (A Zebra‑specific cleaner may be required if specified by Zebra Athletics.)
  • Premature wear resulting from the use of non approved footwear, including everyday runners, general sports shoes, casual outdoor footwear, or any shoes not specifically designed for wrestling, martial arts, or combat sport surfaces, as well as footwear with hard, abrasive, rigid, or metal reinforced soles, training weapons, throwing dummies with abrasive bases, or any sharp, rigid, heavy, or high impact objects used in BJJ, martial arts, wrestling, or judo practice, is not covered under this warranty.
  • Discolouration, staining, or surface marking caused by dye transfer or colour bleeding from clothing, uniforms, equipment, or any other materials is not covered under this warranty. This includes, without limitation, stains resulting from non–colourfast fabrics, heavily dyed garments, moisture activated dyes, or any apparel or gear that leaches colour onto the vinyl surface during use, cleaning, or storage.
  • Installation of the product despite visible or obvious material defects.
  • Installation methods that do not comply with Zebra Athletics installation guidelines and recommended maintenance practices.
  • Colour fading caused by sunlight, outdoor exposure, abrasions, or ultraviolet radiation.
  • Shading or colour variation between individual products due to normal manufacturing tolerances.
  • Exposure to corrosive substances, moisture, acids, alkalis, urine, excessive heat, hydrostatic pressure, pebbles, sand, glass, or other abrasive or damaging materials.
  • Damage resulting from structural or general building defects or excessive structural movement.
  • Installation of products in non‑recommended environments or applications.
  • Premature wear caused by weights, bike cleats, skates, spikes, studs, fitness equipment, high heels, spiked heels, or other sharp/impacting objects.
  • Material deterioration caused by subfloor moisture, water ingress, flooding, or other moisture‑related issues.
  • Exposure to animal fats, vegetable oils, petroleum‑based materials, grease, chlorine, solvents, acids, or other chemicals.
  • Negligence, misuse, accidents, vandalism, or any other external or intentional damage.

Any circumstance not arising from a manufacturing defect.

Warranty Conditions

  1. Any visual defects must be reported before installation. The installation of material with visible defects voids the warranty.
  2. All claims must be submitted in writing and must include a copy of the original purchase invoice.
  3. The purchaser must allow Zebra Athletics access to inspect the alleged defective Goods.
  4. Samples may be removed by Zebra Athletics for testing, if required.
  5. The purchaser acknowledges that the warranties in this document apply subject to Zebra Athletics’ General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
  6. Zebra Athletics is not responsible for costs associated with decommissioning or recommissioning equipment, disassembly or assembly of fixtures and fittings, removal or replacement of furniture or equipment, or similar expenses.
  7. No repairs, alterations, or modifications may be carried out without prior written approval from Zebra Athletics.
  8. Removal of the original product or installation of any replacement product is not covered by this warranty unless expressly authorised in writing.
